Music Transcription Specialist

Position Description
Rain is looking for a musician with excellent transcription abilities to scrub music files for note and timing data for use in our iPhone application development. Duties would include listening to mp3 files to determine pitch values of vocals and their associated time/duration values and entering this data in excel spreadsheets. The position is part-time/contracting or paid internship w/ extremely flexible hours and the possibility of eventually working from home.
Requirements
* Familiarity w/ music theory
* Deep familiarity w/ piano/keyboard
* Excellent ear for transcription (person w/ perfect pitch would be our hero)
* Good w/ details. And we’re not talking the obligatory “detail-oriented” you see on every job description. This person must roam as a nighttime vigilante named Captain Detail.
Compensation
* $12 an hour.
* Up to $15 if candidate demonstrates precision and speed.
